On the evening of August 28, Yen Khanh district (Ninh Binh) held a ceremony to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the district's re-establishment (September 1, 1994 - September 1, 2024) and announced the Prime Minister's Decision recognizing the district as meeting advanced new rural standards.

After 8 years of implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction for the 2010-2020 period, with the determination of the entire political system, the joint efforts and consensus of cadres, party members and people of all walks of life, Yen Khanh district has completed the criteria for new rural construction, and was recognized by the Prime Minister as a district meeting new rural standards in 2018 (completed 2 years earlier than planned).

Immediately after completing the goal of building new rural areas, Yen Khanh district continued to mobilize resources among the people, taking advantage of the attention of the province and the Central Government to maintain and improve the criteria of new rural areas; launching the movement to build advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas.

After 5 years of implementation, 12/18 communes have met advanced new rural standards, including 2 communes meeting model new rural standards. Yen Khanh district was recognized by the Prime Minister as meeting advanced new rural standards in 2023.

Yen Khanh District Party Secretary Hoang Van Thang shared that in recent years, the district's economy has always maintained high growth rates, and the economic structure has shifted in a positive direction.

With the achievements in 30 years of re-establishment, the Party Committee, government and people of Yen Khanh district have been honored to receive many noble titles from the Party and State such as: Third-class Independence Medal, First, Second and Third-class Labor Medals; Excellent Emulation Flag.

The District Party Committee was awarded the Outstanding Emulation Flag by the Provincial Party Standing Committee for the 2010-2015 and 2015-2020 terms, and was honored nationwide on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

With a spirit full of faith, determination and aspiration for development, Yen Khanh district vows to continue to promote the fine traditions of its homeland, determined to realize the goal of "building Yen Khanh district in the direction of a model new rural area, rich and civilized", contributing to the successful implementation of the province's common goal by 2035, turning Ninh Binh into a centrally-run city, with the characteristics of a Millennium Heritage City and a creative city.

In particular, Yen Khanh is proud to be the first district of Ninh Binh province and one of the first 6 districts in the country to be recognized as a district meeting advanced new rural standards.
