More than 100 athletes compete in the Ta Cu Mountain Cycling Race

BTO-On the morning of June 1, the People's Committee of Ham Thuan Nam district organized a cycling race around Ta Cu mountain. Attending were comrades: Le Huy Toan - Provincial Party Committee member, Editor-in-Chief of Binh Thuan Newspaper, Le Thi Bich Lien - Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of Ham Thuan Nam District Party Committee, leaders of the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and cultural centers of districts, towns and cities; departments and professional offices of Ham Thuan Nam district and 117 athletes.

The Ta Cu Mountain Cycling Race is an activity to celebrate the 41st anniversary of the establishment of Ham Thuan Nam district (June 1, 1983 - June 1, 2024) and to carry out the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho".

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Tran Ngoc Diep - Chairman of Ham Thuan Nam District People's Committee, said: After 15 years of organization, the cycling race around Ta Cu Mountain has become a traditional local sports tournament. This is an opportunity for athletes and cycling enthusiasts inside and outside the district to meet, exchange, learn, exchange experiences, compete, experience beautiful roads through the 60 km long route around Ta Cu Mountain, to see with their own eyes the beauty of Ham Thuan Nam homeland, the changes in the new rural appearance of the homeland. Thereby contributing to introducing and promoting the beautiful natural landscape and friendly, hospitable people of Ham Thuan Nam to tourists.

The tournament is divided into 2 categories: Open and Amateur, with 117 athletes from 26 racing teams. Especially, there are delegations from Phu Quy district, Ham Thuan Bac, Phan Thiet city and La Gi town.

The racetrack route from the District People's Committee gate - Ham Minh market, turn right towards Thuan Quy commune - Aloha tourist area intersection, turn right onto DT 719 road running along the coast to Ke Ga cape - Tan Thanh commune People's Committee - Cay Gang - Thanh My intersection - turn left onto Trung Son road - Thanh Long Bay tourist area.

Ham Thuan Nam district leaders awarded prizes to athletes and racing teams.

In the final results, in the men's amateur category, athlete Le Duy Chuong (Thanh long Hoang Hau) won first place, Dang Xuan Truc (Cong an Ham Thuan Nam) won second place and Tran Van Du (Thanh long Be Hung) won third place. The first place in the men's amateur team category belonged to Thanh long Hoang Hau team.

In the 54km men's open event, athlete Le Tran Nguyen Tuyen (Khang Thinh cycling club) won first place, Vo Quoc Dat (Phong Nam cycling club) second place and Vo Le The (Ham Thuan Bac club) third place. The first place in the men's open team belonged to Phong Nam cycling club.
