With the theme "Global Connectivity", the 2023 WORLD ROBOT OLYMPIAD ROBOTACON (WRO) in Vietnam will have a total of 342 participating teams and will be organized into 2 rounds.

The qualifying round will be held in two regions, the North in Hai Phong City and the South in Ho Chi Minh City, the National Final round will be held in the capital Hanoi.

WRO is one of the most prestigious and largest competitions in the world for teenagers aged 6-22 and was first held in Vietnam in 2013. Since then, the competition has attracted an average of 1,200 to 1,300 contestants nationwide to participate in groups from B0-B5.

In the Northern Regional Qualifying Round, there are a total of 114 teams participating in the groups: 33 B0 teams; 54 B1 teams and 27 B2 teams. Through the Qualifying Round, it is expected that 17 teams from group B0 will be selected to participate in the International Finals in Singapore and 14 teams from the remaining groups will participate in the International Finals in Panama in November 2023.

The competition is a playground for young people to practice problem-solving skills, critical thinking, teamwork and mastering technology in the 21st century .
