On January 17, THACO Chu Lai held a conference to deploy the 2025 operation and management plan to set out plans, goals, and solutions for 2025, thereby continuing to develop Chu Lai into a new generation, green, smart, modern, and sustainable multi-industry ecosystem. THACO Chairman of the Board of Directors Tran Ba Duong attended and gave a speech.
Attending the conference were Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Duc Dung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Le Van Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation.
In 2024, in the context of a volatile economic situation, THACO remains steadfast in its multi-industry development strategy, continues to expand its investment scale and makes new strides in the fields of production, business and administration at THACO Chu Lai. Last year, THACO Chu Lai paid more than 19,300 billion VND to the Quang Nam provincial budget.
2025 is the third year that THACO implements the Multi-Industry Strategy and 5-Year Plan (2023 - 2027), at the same time developing Chu Lai into a new generation multi-industry industrial ecosystem: Green, Smart, Modern and Sustainable. In 2025, THACO will focus on implementing projects in Chu Lai such as: Mechanical - Automotive Industrial Park expansion project; Port, logistics and non-tariff area project; dredging to deepen Ky Ha channel to a depth of -9.3m; Tam Hoa non-tariff area, port, Cua Lo channel project; Chu Lai Urban Area project - phase 01.
In order to ensure the implementation of the production and business strategy in the new period, THACO member corporations in Chu Lai actively innovate; resolutely implement the program of improving and upgrading governance; proactively develop breakthrough solutions; best complete the 2025 plan and the set goals for 2027.
Speaking at the Conference, Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung acknowledged and commended THACO's production and business results in Chu Lai over the past year, making a large contribution to the provincial budget (accounting for more than 60%); at the same time contributing to stabilizing social security, especially creating jobs for workers, developing a high-quality workforce with an industrial style. Quang Nam Province pledged to continue to accompany, remove difficulties, and create the most favorable conditions for THACO to complete projects, plans for 2025 and goals in the 5-year Plan (2023 - 2027), towards the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of Quang Nam Province and the 23rd Congress of Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee (term 2025 - 2030).
Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Tran Ba Duong - Chairman of THACO's Board of Directors affirmed: "THACO's success today is thanks to Chu Lai. Therefore, when developing any field, I always think about how to continue to maintain and develop in Chu Lai, Quang Nam".
The year 2025 is of special significance, if implemented well, it will create momentum for THACO to develop in the coming decades. THACO will begin implementing key, strategic projects, bringing THACO Chu Lai as well as Quang Nam province to sustainable development, including: focusing on developing Cua Lo channel to receive 50,000-ton ships, thereby reducing transportation costs; investing in urban areas; especially developing the agricultural sector, creating conditions for farmers to participate in the value chain. In addition, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of THACO also emphasized that THACO's business philosophy is "loyal" companionship to create value. This has been proven in more than 21 years of investment and development in Chu Lai and that value is increasing day by day for the people, the locality and the country.
In order to recognize the efforts and encourage the working and creative spirit of employees of member corporations, companies and units in Chu Lai, on this occasion, THACO's Board of Directors awarded 15 collectives and 45 individuals with outstanding achievements in 2024.
