Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin deploys tasks for 2024

On January 22, the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin held a conference to review work in 2023 and deploy tasks for 2024.

In 2023, the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin has strived to complete the set tasks, focusing on directing the successful organization of the Congress of Associations of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin at all levels in the province and the Congress of Delegates of the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin for the 2023-2028 term.

The province currently has more than 7,000 members, of whom 3,331 are victims of Agent Orange; 5,218 people receive monthly allowances. Along with focusing on building and strengthening the Association, the Association at all levels also pays special attention to mobilizing and receiving social resources to help and give gifts to Agent Orange victims, helping their families to reduce difficulties and improve their lives. In 2023, the province will have 23,010 people receiving gifts from organizations and individuals with a total value of more than 7.1 billion VND...

In 2024, the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin sets out the following targets and tasks: 100% of association organizations complete their tasks; focus on developing members; for the work of mobilizing and receiving social resources, the whole province strives to reach 6 billion VND or more. Strive for 100% of Agent Orange victims to receive gifts on the occasion of Lunar New Year and "For Vietnamese Agent Orange Victims" Day on August 10; The provincial and district-level Agent Orange Victims Fund is developed and expanded; 100% of associations have funds from social mobilization sources; coordinate with organizations and individuals to open vocational training classes, create jobs, provide medical examinations and free medicine for Agent Orange victims; promote the work of victims who have overcome difficulties to rise up in labor and production and become rich legitimately...

At the conference, the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin organized the signing of the emulation covenant for 2024.
