The document said that the leaders of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management had received a quick report from the Nghe An Department of Health about the wooden ceiling of class 11A9, Hermann Gmeiner High School, collapsing on the morning of December 21, injuring many students.
The Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management welcomed the Nghe An Department of Health for mobilizing its subordinate units to provide on-site emergency care and transport to the final level hospitals under the Nghe An Department of Health and upper level hospitals to treat and provide emergency care to the victims.
The Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management requested the Nghe An Department of Health to continue directing its affiliated hospitals and coordinate with upper-level hospitals and related units to mobilize good doctors, ensure adequate medicine and equipment to treat students promptly and most effectively. At the same time, pay attention to health care and psychological stability for victims to overcome the crisis.
Closely coordinate with hospitals under the Ministry of Health in referral, professional consultation, remote medical examination and treatment via telehealth, and monitoring treatment for injured students at higher-level hospitals.
Assign a focal point to provide official and specific information to the press, media, parents and relatives of the victim students.
The leaders of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management also requested the Nghe An Department of Health to promptly synthesize reports, update the progress of the treatment and suggestions and recommendations to the Ministry of Health (if any) to ensure emergency and treatment for the victims.
According to initial information, the classroom ceiling collapse occurred at around 7:00 a.m. this morning, in class 11A9, Hermann Gmeiner Vinh High School. While students were studying, the wooden ceiling suddenly collapsed, causing many students to be hospitalized due to injuries.
