When participating in the model garden, Mr. Hung also used organic fertilizers and biological pest management methods, his family's crop productivity and income have increased significantly, reaching an average of about 200 - 300 million VND per year, many times higher than when growing rice before.

In Nhu Thanh district, the model garden of dragon fruit and orange has created higher economic value. Many garden owners have switched from traditional crops such as corn and rice to fruit trees and medicinal plants. Ms. Nguyen Thi Ly, one of the pioneers in Mau Lam commune, has converted 0.7 hectares of her family's corn land to red-fleshed dragon fruit since 2018. Thanks to the application of advanced care techniques and organic fertilizers, her dragon fruit garden produces large, beautiful, sweet fruit. Ms. Ly's dragon fruit products bring her family a stable income of about 250 million VND per year, creating seasonal jobs for many local workers.
