Under the direction of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Record Association, the Vietnam Record Institute, the Vietnam Polytechnic Institute for Research and Application and IELTS Vietnam, EOV 2024 continues to affirm its position as a prestigious and top-quality English competition for students from 8 to 18 years old. The competition is not only a place to test knowledge, but also an environment for comprehensive skill training, from language to leadership thinking.

According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Hien, Director of the Vietnam Polytechnic Institute for Practical Research and Application and IELTS Vietnam, the EOV 2024 contest is a fair and healthy intellectual playground, guiding young people towards comprehensive development of English proficiency and global leadership skills and thinking. In addition, the contest is also an opportunity for young Vietnamese people to promote and spread love and pride in the culture, people and country of Vietnam to friends around the world.

This year’s Final Round brought together 24 excellent contestants from all over the country, creating a fierce competition. The contestants had to go through many different rounds from presentations to speaking in front of the judges. Each round not only required language ability but also confidence, creative thinking and presentation skills.

One of the most exciting parts of the competition is the speech contest, where contestants must convince the judges of their point of view on an unexpected topic. The stories and ideas presented by the contestants not only demonstrate their outstanding English skills but also demonstrate sharp critical thinking and extensive knowledge.

In the end, after successfully surpassing the other 5 teams, The Dreamers team, consisting of 4 members Nguyen Dong Nhu Ngoc from Thoai Ngoc Hau High School for the Gifted; Ngo Nha Nam from Tran Phu Secondary School; Huynh Nguyen Hai Dang from Phan Chu Trinh Secondary School and Nguyen Khai Hoa from Nguyen Du Primary School, won the championship title. The members of The Dreamers team are all excellent factors, conquering the judges and the audience with their confidence, ability to work in a harmonious team and sharp critical thinking.

The EOV 2024 contest has ended, but the journey to conquer the peak of English of the young generation of Vietnam will continue. The experiences and lessons from the contest will be valuable assets, helping young people to be more confident in their path to conquering knowledge and international integration.
