On the morning of November 5, the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province held a press conference to inform about the Culture - Tourism Week of Hoa Binh province in 2024.

Attending the event were Mr. Nguyen Van Toan, Permanent Vice Chairman of Hoa Binh Provincial People's Committee; Ms. Quach Thi Kieu, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hoa Binh Province; Mr. Vuong Dac Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hoa Binh Province and representatives of departments, agencies and reporters.

Speaking at the Press Conference, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Binh Province Nguyen Van Toan said that during the Culture - Tourism Week of Hoa Binh Province, visitors will have the opportunity to experience diverse cultural activities such as exhibitions, traditional and modern art performances, seminars on sustainable tourism development as well as participate in tours to explore famous landscapes of Hoa Binh.

In 2023, the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province signed and issued Decision No. 2742/QD-UBND on the Project to preserve and promote the cultural values ​​of the Muong ethnic group and the "Hoa Binh Culture" in the period of 2023 - 2030. The general objective of the Project is to strengthen state management and invest resources and material facilities for research, collection, preservation and promotion of the cultural heritage values ​​of the Muong ethnic group and Hoa Binh culture in the province.

Despite many difficulties after the Covid-19 pandemic, the authorities and people of Hoa Binh have made great efforts with many flexible solutions. Thanks to that, in the first 9 months of 2024, the province's GRDP growth rate reached 9.02%, the state budget revenue completed the plan for the whole year of 2024, earning about 6,400 billion VND.

Since the beginning of the term, Hoa Binh has implemented 4 breakthrough contents including: planning; infrastructure development; improving the business environment, promoting investment attraction; developing human resources associated with job creation. Of which, planning is a fundamental breakthrough, the province will soon issue a plan to implement the planning.

According to Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hoa Binh province Quach Thi Kieu, the Culture - Tourism Week of Hoa Binh province in 2024 is a major event of the year in the province, taking place over 9 days with many activities, specifically: Fishing prayer ceremony, releasing flower lanterns on the Da River on the evening of November 15; Artistic photo exhibition on November 16-18; Ceremony to receive the certificate of ranking as a special national monument of Hang Xom Trai and Mai Da Lang Vanh and Opening of the Culture - Tourism Week of Hoa Binh province in 2024 on the evening of November 16.

On the afternoon of November 19, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will organize the Agricultural Forum with the theme “Agricultural extension associated with agricultural tourism, green growth and sustainable development”. The opening ceremony of the second Da River Fish and Shrimp Festival in Hoa Binh province will take place in the evening of the same day.

Regarding the Da River Fish and Shrimp Festival, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hoa Binh province, Vuong Dac Hung, said that the activity aims to promote the development of the aquaculture industry and products from Da River fish and shrimp; promote and affirm copyrighted brands associated with agricultural products and ownership of two specialty brands "Da River Shrimp Hoa Binh" and "Da River Fish Hoa Binh". From there, build the image of the Da River fish and shrimp capital to become one of the key economic sectors of Hoa Binh province.

Through the festival, Hoa Binh wishes to introduce the potential, strengths, landscapes and traditional cultural identity of the province in general, the Da River Lake tourist area in particular, contributing to stimulating tourism development and attracting and expanding the domestic and foreign tourist market to Hoa Binh province; promote and introduce products from Da River fish and shrimp, agricultural products, and typical OCOP products of the province to attract domestic and international tourism.

Speaking to The Gioi and Viet Nam Newspaper on the sidelines of the Press Conference , Permanent Vice Chairman of the Hoa Binh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Toan emphasized that Hoa Binh is a land with a long-standing historical and cultural tradition, imbued with the cultural identities of the ethnic groups: Muong, Thai, Tay, Dao, Mong; with many ranked relics and folk festivals of the ethnic groups. Besides the unique cultural values, Hoa Binh is also blessed by nature with many majestic landscapes, many beautiful caves and diverse nature reserves.

With such potentials and strengths, Hoa Binh has determined the goal of maximizing its advantages to develop tourism into a spearhead economic sector, building the province into an attractive destination with typical tourism products, a major tourism center of the midland and mountainous region of the North; focusing on tourism development planning, prioritizing investment in tourism infrastructure; developing tourism in a sustainable direction, closely linked to preserving and promoting the cultural identity of ethnic groups; developing resort - medical - health care tourism products; focusing on developing cultural tourism, eco-tourism, spiritual tourism, sports tourism, and community tourism.
