The People's Committee of Dai Tu district, Thai Nguyen province held a ceremony to announce the Decision to recognize Ky Phu and Van Tho communes as meeting advanced new rural standards.


On November 24, the People's Committee of Dai Tu district, Thai Nguyen province held a ceremony to announce the Decision to recognize Ky Phu and Van Tho communes as meeting advanced new rural standards; the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Thai Nguyen province.

Ky Phu commune will receive a certificate of recognition for meeting advanced New Rural Area (NTM) standards in 2023, while Van Tho commune will receive a certificate of recognition for meeting advanced NTM standards in 2024. These are two communes that are assessed to always make efforts and actively contribute efforts and money to improve NTM criteria, build and repair infrastructure, and welfare works are increasingly invested in and built to be complete and synchronous, creating momentum in socio-economic development.

Mr. Vu Duy Hoang, Standing Committee Member, Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, presented the decision to Dai Tu district.

According to Resolution No. 1240 of the National Assembly Standing Committee, the entire natural area and population of Van Tho and Ky Phu communes were merged to form Van Phu commune. After establishment, Van Phu commune has a natural area of ​​26.67 km2 and a population of 13,018 people.

Also at the announcement ceremony, Dai Tu district will adjust a part of the natural area (3.01 km2) and 1,565 people of Na Mao commune to merge into Phu Xuyen commune; after adjustment, the entire natural area and remaining population of Na Mao commune will merge into Phu Cuong commune.

After the arrangement, Dai Tu district has 27 commune-level administrative units, including 25 communes and 2 towns.
