Customs Region III collects more than 13,000 billion VND in budget

According to information from the Customs Branch of Region III, in February 2025, the unit collected 7,022.2 billion VND for the state budget, an increase of 867.3 billion VND (equivalent to an increase of 14.1%) compared to the previous month.

Of which, Hai Phong area earned 6,150.5 billion VND, an increase of 775.9 billion VND (equivalent to an increase of 14.4%) compared to the previous month.

Hai Duong area collected 435.6 billion VND, an increase of 107.2 billion VND (equivalent to an increase of 32.6%) compared to the previous month.

Hung Yen region earned 411.3 billion VND, an increase of 73.6 billion VND (equivalent to an increase of 21.8%) compared to the previous month.

Thai Binh region collected 24.8 billion VND, down 89 billion VND (equivalent to a decrease of 78.3%) compared to the previous month.

In the first 2 months, the Customs Branch of Region III collected 13,177.1 billion VND, reaching 18.3% of the estimated target (72,000 billion VND), an increase of 3,855 billion VND (equivalent to an increase of 41.4%) over the same period in 2024.

Of which, Hai Phong area collected 11,525.2 billion VND, reaching 18.4% of the estimated target (62,700 billion VND), reaching 16.4% of the target assigned by Hai Phong City People's Council (70,000 billion VND), an increase of 3,392 billion VND (equivalent to an increase of 41.7%) compared to the same period in 2024.

According to Decision No. 382/QD-BTC dated February 26, 2025 of the Ministry of Finance, stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Customs Department under the Ministry of Finance, effective from March 1, 2025, of the 35 local customs departments, they will be reorganized into 20 regional customs branches.

In which, the Regional Customs Branch III performs the function of state management of customs in Hai Phong and Hung Yen.

Two areas previously managed by the Hai Phong Customs Department, Hai Duong and Hung Yen, were transferred to the management of the Regional Customs Branch IV.
