The 6th Hanoi City Party Building and Political System Press Award aims to contribute to the effective implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the 17th Hanoi City Party Congress, the Resolution of the 4th Central Committee (term XII, XIII), Conclusion No. 21-KL/TU of the 13th Central Executive Committee, Directive 05-CT/TU of the Politburo, Program No. 01 of the Hanoi City Party Committee on "Strengthening the work of Party building and rectification, building a clean and strong Party organization and political system of the city, promoting administrative reform in the period of 2021-2025".

At the same time, the Award also contributes practically to the National Press Award on Party building - Golden Hammer and Sickle Award organized annually by the Central Organizing Committee.

The organization of the 6th Hanoi City Press Award on Party Building and Political System in 2023 aims to continue to improve the quality of propaganda on Party building and the city's political system in the mass media in the direction of combining "building" and "fighting", in which "building" is considered fundamental and long-term, and "fighting" is considered a regular and urgent task. Thereby, creating a ripple effect in press agencies and the whole society; contributing to making the Party building and political system of Hanoi city change positively.

The time for posting and broadcasting works is calculated from December 6, 2022 to December 5, 2023. The time for receiving works participating in the award, the deadline for receiving works is December 6, 2023. The final round of press works will be conducted from December 23, 2023 to January 9, 2024. The Final Round Council, based on the selection results of the Preliminary Round Council, will evaluate, appraise, and select the best works to submit to the Organizing Committee and the Steering Committee of the Press Award on Party building and the political system of Hanoi city to decide on the winning works and the rewarded units.

The selection of outstanding works for awards does not necessarily require each type of journalism to consider the number of awards according to the award structure.

The Award announcement and award ceremony will be held in March 2024 on the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Hanoi City Party Committee (March 17, 1930 - March 17, 2024).
