After announcing the 10th grade exam results, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will hold a meeting to approve the 10th grade admission scores of each public school.

On July 5, the Department of Education and Training held a meeting to review the admission scores for grade 10 of non-specialized public high schools and specialized high schools and announced the admission scores.

From July 6 to July 9, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will announce the benchmark scores for entering grade 10 at schools.

From July 10 to 12, successful candidates confirm their enrollment. From July 17, schools that do not meet their enrollment quota will enroll additional students. From July 19 to 22, candidates will confirm their additional enrollment; on July 28, candidates will receive their review results at the Department.

According to regulations of Hanoi Department of Education and Training, the calculation of entrance exam scores for grade 10 at non-specialized public high schools is as follows:

Admission score = (Math test score + Literature test score) x 2 + Foreign language test score + priority points (if any). In which, test scores of each subject are calculated on a 10-point scale.

Regarding the admission principles, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training clearly stipulates: Recruit candidates who wish to register for admission to the school, taking admission scores from high to low until the quota is full. Candidates who are admitted to the first choice will not be considered for the following choices. The admission scores for the second and third choices must be 1 and 2 points higher than the first choice.

The Department only considers admission for students who have completed all required exams, have not violated exam regulations to the point of having their exam results canceled, and have not had any exams with a score of 0.
