On the days leading up to the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024, along Le Duan, Ngo Quyen, 2A, 2B streets (opposite Phan Ngoc Hien Square), Phan Ngoc Hien ( Ca Mau City, Ca Mau Province), people can easily see gardeners busy displaying ornamental flower pots waiting for customers to buy for Tet.
A full range of ornamental flowers, such as chrysanthemums, bonsai, bougainvillea... were present.
Visitors were surprised to see a "giant" yellow apricot tree with a 12m wide canopy, sold by its owner for 2 billion VND, appearing at the ornamental flower market in Ca Mau city.
The girth of the apricot tree is up to 1.35m.
The apricot tree is 5m high.
The owner of the apricot tree is from Dong Thap province. The owner bought the yellow apricot tree from a local person, so the exact age is unknown, but it has definitely been planted for over 50 years.
Because the tree has a large canopy, the man chose to hire a boat to transport rice from Dong Thap to Ca Mau for 20 million VND (In the photo, tourists admire the "huge" apricot tree).
According to many tourists, this is the first time they have seen a "huge" yellow apricot tree at the flower market in Ca Mau city. But with the price offered, only the rich can buy it.
According to the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, it is expected that the flower and ornamental plant market in Ca Mau city will arrange 130 flower and ornamental plant lots (Ca Mau city, Ca Mau province).
The operating time of the flower and watermelon market is from January 26 to February 9, 2024 (December 16-30, Quy Mao year).
The site will be restored to its current state before 8:00 p.m. on February 9, 2024 (December 30, Quy Mao year) to serve the people during the spring festival and Tet holiday.
