Physics score range from 6 to 7 points

Regarding physics, teacher Huynh Kieu Viet Lam, Ernst Thälmann High School (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), commented that the official exam closely followed the illustration exam in terms of question/chapter ratio.

The test is quite easy and easy for candidates in the first 30 questions. However, there are few scores of 9 or higher and it is difficult to get 10 points; the questions classifying excellent students are good and evenly distributed in chapters (1,2,3,5,7). The predicted score range is concentrated at 6 to 7 points.

Good chemistry

Regarding chemistry, Master Pham Le Thanh, Nguyen Hien High School (District 11), commented that the exam was "easy", the structure and level of differentiation were relatively stable and did not fluctuate much.

In the first 21 questions, all the theory is at the level of recognition and understanding, mainly in the 12th grade program. From the 22nd question onwards, the basic exercises are gradually differentiated from low to high. The highest differentiation is in the last 7-8 questions, including general theory questions and chemistry problems.

With this test, average and good students can easily achieve 6 to 7.5 points. Good students can achieve from 8 to 8.75 points and excellent students who have mastered the knowledge for all 3 years can achieve above 9 points.

In general, the level of differentiation of the questions is quite good, ensuring the goal of high school graduation and university admission. In particular, the differentiated questions can evaluate excellent students, creating favorable conditions for top universities to select students.

According to Mr. Pham Le Thanh, the final exam of the 2006 General Education Program should have relatively stable questions. Hopefully next year, the chemistry exam implemented according to the 2018 General Education Program will approach many new practical issues, increase applicability and be closer to life in the direction of assessing students' abilities and qualities.

Similarly, Mr. Vo Duy Thai, head of the chemistry department at Bui Thi Xuan High School (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), commented that with this exam structure, it is not difficult for candidates to get a score of 8.

Regarding this year's exam, Mr. Thai said that the first 32 questions are mainly basic knowledge and simple exercises based on chemical equations.

Differentiation is shown in the last 8 questions with increasing difficulty (unlike recent years, the last 8 questions are often very difficult, there is no increasing differentiation), the most difficult is 1 mixed Esters question and 2 inorganic questions.

For good students, if they concentrate, they can completely achieve over 9 points when solving 4/8 questions including: practice questions, picric acid practical problems and crystal separation problems...

Biology reduces the amount of math homework

In biology, teacher Doan Thuy Nga, head of the subject group at Bui Thi Xuan High School (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) commented that this year's exam increased the number of theoretical questions and exercises. Of which, 30 questions were on recognition and understanding. The differentiation of scores on the exam was shown in the last 10 questions. The questions were presented in the form of graphs, images, and practical applications, requiring candidates to apply good reading comprehension skills, have the ability to analyze, reason, and understand the nature of biological processes to handle them well.

In general, the exam has a similar structure to the reference exam, has good differentiation, and is suitable for the requirements of a final exam according to the 2006 General Education Program. However, this year's exam has increased the content of practical application in the direction of a competency assessment exam.

Similarly, teacher Vo Thanh Binh, Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted (HCMC), said that this year's biology exam has reduced calculation exercises and increased questions requiring students to apply knowledge related to reality.

With the exam unchanged from 2023, teacher Vo Thanh Binh predicts the score distribution will be similar to last year, with average candidates scoring from 5 to 6 points.
