The book "CNC Programming Techniques" edited by lecturer Nguyen Thi Hai Van has not been published yet but was used to submit application documents to the main lecturer, considered for the title of emulation fighter and was recognized.

“Currently, the University of Technical Education is urgently handling the matter according to regulations, so it will take some time. The University of Danang will continue to direct the school to seriously handle this matter,” he affirmed.

On the side of the University of Technical Education, Principal Phan Cao Tho said that the school is currently establishing a team to verify and clarify information related to the book "CNC Programming Techniques" edited by lecturer Nguyen Thi Hai Van.

"We are setting up a verification team and will take the next steps. If there are any violations, the title will definitely be revoked," said Mr. Tho.

Previously, as VietNamNet had an article about Lecturers using unpublished books to promote and compete. Accordingly, the book "CNC Programming Techniques" by Nguyen Thi Hai Van (editor-in-chief) and 4 other authors, published by Construction Publishing House, has been used by the University of Technical Education (University of Danang) as a reference material for teaching, research and learning since 2019.

However, in early 2024, the book was found to have no name when searched on the Construction Publishing House website and was not stamped with anti-counterfeit stamps like other books published in the same period.

Then, on April 17, 2024, the Department of Publishing, Printing and Distribution (Ministry of Information and Communications) issued a document confirming that in 2018, the Department confirmed the registration for publication of the book "CNC Programming Techniques". However, on March 28, 2019, Construction Publishing House sent a document to the Department of Publishing, Printing and Distribution requesting the return of the ISBN code for publications that the unit did not organize for publication in 2018, in that list there was the book "CNC Programming Techniques". That means the book has not been organized for publication.

However, lecturer Nguyen Thi Hai Van used the above book to submit in her application for promotion to senior lecturer and was recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training for her promotion exam results in 2019. In the same year 2019, Ms. Van continued to use this book to submit in her application for recognition as a basic emulation fighter and was also recognized.

The University of Technical Education (University of Danang) has decided to withdraw the decision dated January 3, 2019 of the Principal of the University of Technical Education on the use of the book "CNC Programming Techniques" as a reference material for teaching, research, and learning, and at the same time, withdraw all printed and circulated books.
