Specifically, from 3:00 p.m. today, February 15, the price of E5 RON92 gasoline increased by 711 VND/liter, not higher than 22,831 VND/liter; RON95 gasoline increased by 675 VND, not higher than 23,919 VND/liter.

Prices of all types of oil also increased simultaneously, of which diesel increased by 654 VND, not higher than 21,361 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 633 VND, not higher than 21,221 VND/liter; mazut increased by 308 VND, not higher than 15,906 VND/kg.

Thus, gasoline prices have increased again after the first decrease in 2024. Previously, gasoline prices had increased 4 times in a row since the beginning of the year.

In this management period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance decided to set aside a price stabilization fund for fuel oil at 300 VND/kg (as in the previous period), and not set aside for gasoline, diesel and kerosene.

At the same time, do not use the fund for all petroleum products.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the world oil market in this management period (from February 8, 2024 to February 14, 2024) is affected by factors such as: concerns that tensions in the Middle East could disrupt oil supplies; conflicts in the Red Sea region affecting transportation activities; the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) maintaining its forecast of increased oil demand this year; the decline in operating capacity of oil refineries in the US, etc.

The above factors have caused world oil prices to fluctuate between increases and decreases in recent days, but the general trend is upward. The average price of finished oil products in the world between the price adjustment period on February 8, 2024 and the adjustment period on February 15, 2024 is: 97.618 USD/barrel of RON92 gasoline used to blend E5 RON92 gasoline (up 4.057 USD/barrel); 101.808 USD/barrel of RON95 gasoline (up 3.456 USD/barrel); 105.900 USD/barrel of kerosene (up 3.670 USD/barrel); 108.158 USD/barrel of diesel oil (up 3.774 USD/barrel); 449.990 USD/ton of fuel oil (up 10.878 USD/ton).

In the operating period before the Lunar New Year holiday on February 8, the management agency decided to reduce 790 VND/liter for E5 RON92 gasoline, down to 22,120 VND/liter; reduce 900 VND/liter for RON95 gasoline, down to 23,260 VND/liter.

Diesel oil decreased by 292 VND/liter, not higher than 20,707 VND/liter; Kerosene decreased by 353 VND/liter, not higher than 20,588 VND/liter and fuel oil price decreased by 489 VND/kg, not higher than 15,598 VND/kg.
