Pork prices increase sharply, some types jump to 300,000 VND/kg

According to a report from Hoc Mon wholesale market, on July 8, pork prices ranged from 115,000-140,000 VND/kg depending on the type. The reason was a decrease in supply, pushing up the price of live pigs.

Mini king crab super cheap price, only from 80,000 VND/crab

Record high areca nut price

On July 10, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tran, Chairman of the People's Committee of Son Tay District, Quang Ngai, told Tuoi Tre Newspaper that areca nuts cost up to 50,000 VND/kg, helping people in the land of thousands of areca nuts have a bumper crop.

Compared to 2023, the current price of areca nuts is 5 times higher, and areca growers are making a big profit. On average, each bunch of areca nuts weighs about 2-10kg, bringing in an income of 100,000-500,000 VND/bunch.

Son La longan price up to over 50,000 VND/kg

Due to the impact of unfavorable weather, this year Son La longan crop failed but in return, the price reached a record high. In recent days, the price of Son La longan continued to increase, the good type reached nearly 55,000 VND/kg.

Speaking to Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Lo Van Tuong, Director of Phuc Vinh Cooperative, Canh Kien village, Na Nghiu commune (Song Ma district), said that this year, the cooperative's longan output was only 1/10 of last year. The output was about 10 tons.

Up to this point, Phuc Vinh Cooperative has harvested more than half of the output. Mr. Tuong said the selling price is good. Currently, the price of longan in the garden is purchased by traders at 50,000 VND/kg, 2-3 times higher than last year.

Currently, glitter orchids are sold on the market at prices ranging from only 1.4-3 million VND/kg for fresh ones, while the dried ones are sold at around 9 million VND/kg.

Pickled onions in the West are selling well

Pickled shallots are an agricultural product grown in many provinces such as Kien Giang, Dong Thap, Bac Lieu, Soc Trang, etc. There are two main crops each year. According to Knowledge and Life, compared to the same period last year, the selling price of fresh pickled shallots this year increased by 3,000-5,000 VND/kg and increased by 5,000 VND/kg for pickled shallot seeds, so most pickled shallot growers have high profits.
