On the afternoon of February 14, speaking with Kinh te va Do thi newspaper, Mr. Tran Hieu Hung - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that from February 8 (December 29) to 9:00 a.m. on February 14 (the 5th day of Tet), there were 178,000 visitors (448 international visitors) visiting tourist areas, sites, relics and accommodation in the province. Total tourism revenue reached more than 137.15 billion VND, an increase of 13.7% compared to the Lunar New Year 2023 (120.56 billion VND).

Some tourist areas and spots that attract a large number of visitors include: Hon Da Bac Tourist Area; Mui Ca Mau Tourist Area; Khai Long Tourist Area; Huong Tram Eco-tourism Site; President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Area; U Minh Forest Flower Eco-tourism Site; Thu Duy Eco-tourism Site...

Entertainment venues in Ca Mau City alone welcomed more than 58,000 visitors. Ca Mau Eco-tourism area (Tran Van Thoi district, from February 8-14, welcomed more than 8,000 visitors to visit and have fun.

Although the number of tourists visiting during the Giap Thin Lunar New Year increased by 8.2% (164,491) compared to the Quy Mao Lunar New Year, the total tourism revenue did not increase much; mainly domestic tourists, the number of tourists from other provinces coming to Ca Mau during the Tet holiday was not high.

The reason is that people's income in business, production and labor activities in 2023 decreased, so spending by visitors and tourists, as well as total tourism revenue during the Lunar New Year holiday this year, did not increase much compared to expectations.
