Since noon yesterday, December 13, many users of the Facebook Messenger application on the iOS platform (iPhone/iPad) have been frustrated because they cannot send or receive messages via this platform. Notably, this does not happen with the application for Google's Android platform or on computer browsers.

This situation is common in the US, UK, Vietnam and other Asian countries. Referring to DownDetector, the situation is similar when there are many notifications from users from all over the world saying that they cannot send and receive images via the Messenger application, can only send text messages but also do not receive notifications of read from the person chatting.

DownDetector reports that Instagram is also experiencing similar issues.

Previously, on June 16, Facebook users in Vietnam were also unable to view the content of newly sent messages. Recently, Messenger has added a long-awaited feature: the ability to edit the content of sent messages.

Currently, the way to fix this problem on the iOS platform is that users can delete the Messenger application. Next, exit the Facebook application screen and reopen it, click on the Message icon in the upper right corner to continue receiving and sending image and video messages. Some users said that reinstalling the Messenger application can also fix the problem of not being able to send and receive images on this application.
