Due to the impact of storm No. 6 (October 2024), heavy rain caused Nguyen Huu Tho Street, in Ward 7, Cua Viet Town, Gio Linh District, Quang Tri Province to be eroded and landslide, posing a potential risk of traffic safety, but has not been repaired yet.

Specifically, Nguyen Huu Tho Street was damaged for about 40 meters. The entire sidewalk and nearly 1 meter of asphalt concrete road were eroded and collapsed. To ensure traffic safety, the People's Committee of Cua Viet town has placed warning signs and barricades around the dangerous area.

Mr. Hoang Bon, Head of Quarter 7, Cua Viet Town, said that Nguyen Huu Tho Street connecting National Highway 9 (section through Cua Viet Town) is a densely populated area. During the tourist season, the traffic volume is very high, while this street does not have any night lighting system, so when vehicles travel through the eroded and landslide-prone section of the road, accidents are very likely to occur. We hope that the authorities will soon invest in repairing Nguyen Huu Tho Street to ensure safety.
