On December 30, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tan Tuan said that in 2024, many key, large-scale investment projects will be accelerated to completion and put into operation, creating momentum to promote the province's socio -economic development.

In 2024, the whole province attracted 25 non-budget investment projects with a total registered investment capital of more than 50 trillion VND (including 3 foreign direct investment projects with total registered capital of 18.86 million USD); adjusted capital increase for 16 projects with total registered investment capital increased by about 2,661.36 billion VND.

In 2024, the Van Phong 1 BOT Thermal Power Plant Project of Japan's Sumitomo Group will officially come into operation. This is the largest FDI project in Khanh Hoa province to date with a total investment of nearly 2.58 billion USD, including 2 units with an installed capacity of 1,432 MW, contributing to an increase of 18.5% in the total value of industrial products in 2024 compared to 2023.
