The first prize winning project of two students from Quang Tri Town High School was selected to compete internationally.

Today, March 26, the Ministry of Education and Training announced that the project "Autonomous wheelchair to support people with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis in moving and communicating" by two 12th grade students from Quang Tri High School was selected to compete internationally in the US.

This project by two students, Cao Trung Quan and Le Minh Hieu, just won first prize at the 2025 National Science and Technology Research Competition, taking place in Ho Chi Minh City, from March 19 to 21, 2025.

The project "Autonomous wheelchair to support people with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis in moving and communicating" by the two students created a 2D map in an experimental environment, the wheelchair can automatically move to desired points using the pupil; built a system to support close communication and remote communication through the Telegram application between patients and their families in Vietnamese and English.

The 2025 International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF 2025) that the two students were selected to participate in will be held from May 10 to 16, 2025 in Columbus, Ohio, USA, in person. This is the second time that students from Quang Tri Town High School have had a science and engineering project selected to compete internationally.
