In Dong Nai province, 3 projects simultaneously started construction on August 19, including Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh Expressway; Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway; Component 1 project, Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway.
In particular, the project to expand the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh expressway section is 22 km long, passing through 2 provinces and cities, Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai.
The starting point of the Project is at the Ring Road 2 Intersection, Ho Chi Minh City; the end point is at the Intersection with Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway, Dong Nai Province.
The project has a total investment of more than 16,300 billion VND, of which public investment capital is 6,500 billion VND and capital mobilized by Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC) is more than 9,800 billion VND.

According to the plan, the project will be basically completed by the end of 2026. As for Long Thanh bridge, it is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2027.
On the same day, August 19, in Dong Nai, the groundbreaking ceremony of the Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway Construction Investment Project (phase 1) took place.
The project is over 60 km long; the starting point connects with the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway, in Dau Giay commune; the end point connects with the Tan Phu - Bao Loc expressway, in Phu Lam commune, Dong Nai province.
The total investment of the Project is nearly 8,500 billion VND, implemented under the method (public-private partnership (PPP) - BOT contract (build - operate - transfer).
According to the plan, the project will be constructed within 2 years and is expected to be completed in 2027.
Another important highway connecting the Southeast region with the Central Highlands is the Gia Nghia ( Dak Nong ) - Chon Thanh (Dong Nai) highway.
On August 19, Component 1 of the Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Dong Nai) Expressway Project also officially started construction with a total length of 124 km, a scale of 4 expressway lanes, and a design speed of 100 - 120 km/h.
Component project 1 is invested by Vingroup Joint Venture - Techtra Infrastructure Investment and Development Joint Stock Company, with a total investment of nearly 20,000 billion VND.
Of which, the investor's capital participating in the project is more than 12,000 billion VND, excluding loan interest; and the State capital participating in the project is more than 6,800 billion VND.
Project implementation period is from 2025 to 2027, maximum project payback period is 29 years and 8 months.
In Ho Chi Minh City, on August 19, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee coordinated with the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee to organize the groundbreaking ceremony for the mine clearance and relocation of technical infrastructure for the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai Expressway Construction Investment Project.
Mr. Luong Minh Phuc, Director of the HCM City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor) said that after starting the first package, the Board will coordinate with consulting units to complete the design, estimate and select construction contractors.
According to the plan, construction packages of component project 2 (budget capital) will start construction in October 2025, while packages of component project 1 (PPP capital) will start construction in March 2026.
Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai Expressway Project, length 51 km, of which the section through Ho Chi Minh City is 24.7 km long and the section through Tay Ninh province is 26.3 km long.
The starting point connects to Ring Road 3 in Phu Hoa Dong Commune, Ho Chi Minh City, the end point connects to National Highway 22 in Ben Cau Commune, Tay Ninh Province (about 7 km from Moc Bai border gate).
The project has a total investment of 19,617 billion VND invested in the form of public-private partnership (PPP), BOT contract (build - operate - transfer).
