Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee Le Xuan Loi said: According to preliminary calculations, the total damage caused by storm No. 3 in the province is estimated at hundreds of billions of VND. Of which, 52 people were injured, more than 4,000 houses, solid structures, auxiliary structures, schools, markets, and headquarters of state agencies collapsed or had their roofs blown off; 655 households (2,749 people) were flooded and at high risk of flooding and had to be evacuated.

Regarding agricultural production, the whole province had over 82,000 poultry dead; 7,500 m2 of barns had their roofs blown off; 3,400 tons of aquatic products were damaged; over 9,700 hectares of rice, 971 hectares of vegetables, 939 hectares of fruit trees, 11 hectares of ornamental flowers and plants were collapsed and flooded, and 25.98 hectares of greenhouses and net houses had their roofs blown off and were damaged.

In Cao Duc commune, the water level of the Duong River through the commune rose for many days, forcing the locality to evacuate 150 elderly people, children... of Tan Tien village to the dike; there were no human casualties. In terms of property, the estimated damage was more than 120 billion VND. Of which, 105 level 4 houses, 125 outbuildings collapsed, roofs were blown off; 12 fences and some public works collapsed; 200 hectares of rice, vegetables, fruit trees and agricultural materials were damaged; 42.7 hectares of surface aquaculture were flooded, 131 fish cages were swept away and severely damaged. By September 14, the water level had receded, and Cao Duc commune authorities were implementing a number of remedial measures to stabilize people's lives.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu shared the difficulties that the people of Cao Duc commune in particular and the people of Bac Ninh province in general suffered due to storm No. 3.

Praising the efforts, urgent, drastic and highly responsible participation of the entire political system, local branches and sectors, the on-duty forces of the Army, the Police, especially the people in preventing, combating and minimizing the damage caused by storms and floods, the Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission requested Party committees at all levels, authorities, the Fatherland Front, armed forces, socio-political organizations of Bac Ninh province and Gia Binh district to concentrate on overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3, with the highest priority being to stabilize and care for people's lives; restore and develop production and business. At the same time, take good care of the injured; ensure timely and adequate provision and support of necessities for the people such as: food, drinking water, medicine, and prevent people from lacking.

The province promptly supported people in building and repairing damaged houses and structures, cleaning up the environment, preventing and fighting epidemics; repairing and restoring dyke systems, electricity, roads, schools, stations and communications; ensuring safety for students going to school. Everyone, every household, agency and unit actively and proactively responded to the consequences of floods and storms, ensuring security and social order. Agencies and units effectively used support resources for the right purposes, preventing corruption and negativity.

On this occasion, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee Tran Cam Tu presented 3.2 billion VND to support the people of Bac Ninh province to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 3. Of which, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front donated 200 million VND, and the banks: Vietnam Investment and Development (BIDV), Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank), and Vietnam Industry and Trade (Vietinbank), each bank donated 1 billion VND.

Thanking the attention of the Party and State leaders, Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Anh Tuan affirmed that in the coming time, Bac Ninh will well implement the Central's direction related to overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3, especially soon stabilizing the production and life of the people and businesses; promptly visiting and encouraging families affected and damaged by the storm; promptly receiving and handing over the support money from the Central and sponsoring units to the people. At the same time, he hoped that the people of Cao Duc commune would soon overcome their lives, stabilize production, ensure that students go to school safely, and participate in studying according to the program.

Also on the morning of September 14, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu and leaders of Bac Ninh province visited, encouraged, and presented 100 gifts to households in Cao Duc commune; some units supported the transportation of food and necessities by drones to support people in Cao Duc commune in the area isolated by rising water.
