According to Decisions No. 564 and 565, the Prime Minister recognized Thanh Oai district to meet advanced new rural standards in 2024 and recognized Dong Anh district to meet advanced new rural standards in 2023.

In the decisions, the Prime Minister assigned the Hanoi People's Committee to be responsible for announcing and rewarding according to regulations; directed the People's Committees of Thanh Oai and Dong Anh districts to continue maintaining and improving the quality of the criteria, focusing on planning and environmental criteria to ensure sustainability in new rural construction.

The Prime Minister also assigned Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of Government agencies, members of the Central Steering Committee for National Target Programs for the 2021-2025 period, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee and relevant organizations and individuals to be responsible for implementing this Decision.

According to the Office of Coordination of the New Rural Development Program in Hanoi, with the recognition of Dong Anh and Thanh Oai districts, up to now, Hanoi has had 5 districts meeting advanced new rural standards, leading all provinces and cities nationwide.
