Hoang Duc's double helped Viettel Club win 3 dramatic points in round 8 against Binh Dinh Club - the third-placed team in V-League 2023. According to coach Duc Thang, Binh Dinh Club had opportunities but could not take advantage of them.

"Actually, that's football and that's what makes it exciting and dramatic. We had a chance to take the lead in the 90th minute when Tien Dat's volley missed the goal so we couldn't score and let the opponent finish. That's one of the unfortunate things in football," said coach Duc Thang.

The Binh Dinh team's strategist was also not satisfied with the color of Viettel's goalkeeper's shirt in this match. He commented: "I am not satisfied with the referee in today's match when the Viettel Club goalkeeper wore a shirt that was almost the same color as Binh Dinh Club's shirt.
