The 19th Congress of Ha Tinh Trade Union for the 2023-2028 term is an important milestone marking a new development step of the trade union organization in the new situation. Thoughts and expectations have been sent to the congress by cadres, union members and workers of the province.

Ms. Truong Thi Men - Union member of Ha Tinh Garment Factory 10 (Vung Ang Economic Zone): There are more policies to help workers stay with the company for a long time.

Working in the key economic zone, the area with the largest concentration of enterprises and workers in the province, we have advantages over workers in other areas. Enterprises focus on finding orders, ensuring policies and regimes for workers in accordance with the law; the trade union also pays special attention to the material and spiritual life of workers. These advantages help us feel secure in our work.

Sending my thoughts to the 19th Ha Tinh Trade Union Congress, I hope that the new term trade union leaders will have more policies to support and encourage workers; continue to launch extensive and substantive emulation movements. Along with that, increase the dissemination of legal knowledge and skills to avoid possible risks so that workers and laborers can raise their awareness of self-protection and build businesses during the working process.

Mr. Tran Ngoc Linh - Chairman of the Trade Union of Ky Son Secondary School (Ky Anh District): Pay more attention to the lives of cadres and union members in remote areas.

Like many schools located in mountainous, remote and isolated communes, the lives of staff and union members of Ky Son Secondary School are still difficult. Many teachers live far from school but still have to travel dozens of kilometers every day because the dormitory is degraded and unsafe for living.

Sharing the difficulties with the school's staff and teachers, in early 2023, the Provincial Federation of Labor allocated nearly 1 billion VND from the Trade Union Social Fund to support the repair of the dormitory and the renovation of auxiliary works. Now the project has been completed and put into use, meeting the long-standing wishes of the staff and teachers.

We hope that, in the new term, Ha Tinh Trade Union will continue to mobilize resources, pay attention to material support, and encourage the spirit of cadres, union members, and workers working in remote areas, helping them feel secure in their attachment to people in difficult areas.

Ms. Vo Thi Tam - Chairwoman of Haivina Hong Linh Company Limited's Trade Union: Accompanying trade unions in enterprises to promote the development of the workers' and laborers' movement.

Honored to be one of 250 official delegates attending the 19th Ha Tinh Trade Union Congress, I entrust my vote with my expectations for a new executive committee with sufficient capacity, professional qualifications, and enthusiasm for trade union activities and the workers' and laborers' movement in the province.

Establishing and developing trade unions in enterprises is one of the core tasks of trade union organizations. Trade unions in enterprises will play an important role in creating and maintaining harmonious and stable labor relations. Therefore, in the new term, I hope that the superior trade unions will always accompany and stand side by side with enterprises in general, and grassroots trade unions in enterprises in particular, so that the team of trade union officials in enterprises will have conditions to better perform their role in protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers and laborers; contributing to building a strong trade union organization.

Mr. Tran Thanh Binh - Trade Union of Bac Ha Tinh Irrigation Company Limited: More places to live for disadvantaged workers.

My family's economic situation is very difficult, for many years now, we have had to rent a house or stay with grandparents and relatives. My salary as a worker is barely enough to cover daily living expenses and the cost of education for my children, let alone dream of having a new house to live in.

Fortunately, the trade unions at all levels paid attention to my family. On the occasion of the 19th Ha Tinh Trade Union Congress, my family received 50 million VND from the Trade Union Social Fund of the Provincial Federation of Labor to build a warm house. This support is very meaningful to my family. It not only helps reduce a large part of the construction costs but also provides a warm spiritual encouragement from the trade union organization.

For many low-income workers, a solid, spacious house is a great desire and dream. I hope that trade unions at all levels will continue to pay attention to providing more housing for union members and workers in difficult circumstances so that they can work with peace of mind and contribute to their agencies and units.
