On the morning of March 18, the National Assembly Standing Committee organized a group of issues in the financial sector including: Management and supervision of insurance business activities and service activities in the life insurance business sector.

Appraisal and licensing of companies providing financial services; enforcement of laws on lottery, betting, casino and electronic games with prizes.

Customs procedures, customs inspection and supervision; prevention and combat of smuggling and illegal transportation of goods across borders.

Price management and price determination of goods and services on the list of goods and services priced by the State.

The responsibility to answer lies with the Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc.

On the same afternoon, the National Assembly Standing Committee held a question-and-answer session on a group of issues in the field of diplomacy.

The questioning focused on the protection of Vietnamese citizens abroad; violations of the law by Vietnamese citizens abroad and foreigners in Vietnam; and protection of the legitimate rights and interests of Vietnamese fishermen.

The current status of implementing bilateral and multilateral agreements and solutions to promote the implementation of economic, trade and investment cooperation agreements; support for expanding export markets and supporting Vietnamese enterprises to avoid fraud.

Activities to promote and advertise Vietnamese tourism to the world and visa exemption for citizens of other countries entering Vietnam to develop tourism.

Management, arrangement, consolidation, improvement of qualifications and organizational capacity of the diplomatic sector (including Vietnamese representative agencies abroad); solutions to strengthen prevention and combat of corruption and negativity in diplomatic activities.

The main questioner in this area was Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son.

In his opening speech, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue affirmed that the selection of the group of questions for questioning at this session was carefully considered based on the synthesis of information sources and proposals from the National Assembly delegations, opinions of the National Assembly deputies, and a review of the scope of questioning at the 6th Session and National Assembly sessions and meetings of the National Assembly Standing Committee since the beginning of the term; at the same time, based on the practical situation, conditions were created for all ministers to participate in answering questions.

Note that the questioning time is only 1 day, to ensure maximum effective use of time, the National Assembly Chairman requested that the National Assembly deputies ask questions that are clear, concise, go straight to the point, debate frankly, responsibly, and are highly constructive. According to regulations, each National Assembly deputy will not conduct questioning for more than 1 minute; the debate time will not exceed 2 minutes.

At the same time, the National Assembly Chairman requested that ministers uphold their sense of responsibility, answer briefly and to the point, clarify the issues raised by National Assembly deputies; propose practical, effective and feasible solutions, ensuring timely and effective overcoming of immediate weaknesses and limitations, while creating long-term, fundamental and substantial changes for each content questioned, contributing to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of administration and management, meeting the requirements and expectations of voters and people nationwide.

At the end of the questioning session, the National Assembly Standing Committee will issue a Resolution to serve as a basis for implementation and supervision.
