Towards Fire , directed by Tran Thanh Huy, takes the theme of firefighters and rescue workers to tell the story of one of the most dangerous professions in the world.

“The purpose of making this film is to honor firefighters as well as the work of fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue. My team and I made the film with all our admiration and respect for firefighters, and with all our understanding of the pain of those who have gone through loss,” Tran Thanh Huy expressed.

Director Tran Thanh Huy said that when starting the project, he always put authenticity first, so he encountered many challenges throughout the filming process.

“It can be said that this is a film that combines all the most difficult aspects of filmmaking with many complex scenes such as apartment fires, market fires, alley fires, rescue operations in difficult terrain, deep rivers, high mountains... The film has very complex scenes, the scale is no different from a movie,” the director shared.

Playing the role of captain Toan Thang, Xuan Phuc said that he and the other actors went through difficult scenes to the point of "exhaustion" just to create well-made footage, even though their appearance time in each episode was very short.

The actor said that to film the scene of carrying the victims out of the fire, the crew had to press the shutter 10 times to get many angles. Only when the scene was completed did all the actors take off their props, masks, and oxygen tanks. At this point, everyone was exhausted, as if their “souls had left their bodies.”

"I have acted in many action movies, but this is truly the most difficult experience. It is also the first time I have worked on a movie and been so tired that it exceeded my imagination," Xuan Phuc confided.

He also revealed that there were scenes where he had to directly face real fire, and it was at this moment that the actor understood the danger that firefighters always face when on duty.

Lanh Thanh confided that when he acted in the rescue scene, he had to go into the disaster area and saw scenes he had never seen before in his life, and his feelings were very heavy.

“Fire is always unintentional, people are unintentional, this unintentional can lead to serious, unforeseeable consequences,” the handsome actor confided. The actor shared that after the film finished filming and waiting for the air date, he just hopes for peace to return to the roofs.
