Mr. Wang Yi presented in detail China's stance on hot regional and international issues.

He stressed that without peace, development would not be sustainable; without peace, cooperation could not take place. For the sake of peace, he called on the international community to seize every opportunity to work towards conflict resolution.

Regarding the crisis in Ukraine, Mr. Wang Yi said it is difficult to end this crisis. He said the top priority is to commit to "not expanding the battlefield, not escalating the war, and not taking provocative actions by any side" and promote the de-escalation of the situation as soon as possible.

Describing the Palestinian issue as "the biggest wound in the human conscience", Wang Yi expressed concern about the ongoing violence in Gaza, which has resulted in a growing number of civilian casualties, and warned that the fighting had spread to Lebanon.

On the Korean Peninsula, China's top diplomat said the region should not experience war again, stressing the importance of seeking a solution through dialogue and consultation, as well as making the transition from a ceasefire to a peace mechanism.

Mr. Wang Yi said China is deeply aware that Asia needs stability and development, and opposes division and conflict.
