The benchmark scores for specialized Math classes in all schools increased by 1-5.25 points compared to last year, while the scores for specialized English classes decreased.
On the afternoon of June 23, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City announced the admission scores for specialized 10th graders. The Biology specialized class of Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted had a benchmark score of 38.75 - the highest among specialized 10th graders in Ho Chi Minh City.
The Math specialized class in all schools recorded an increase in benchmark scores compared to last year. The biggest increase was in the Math specialized class at Mac Dinh Chi High School with a benchmark score of 32.25, an increase of 5.25 compared to last year. Meanwhile, the Math specialized class at Nguyen Huu Huan High School had a benchmark score of 30.5, an increase of 3 points.
At Le Hong Phong, Tran Dai Nghia, Gia Dinh and Nguyen Thuong Hien specialized high schools, the benchmark scores for specialized Math classes also increased by 1-1.25.
In contrast to the Math class, the English class at all schools had lower admission scores than last year, down 0.25-1.5.

Pham Quoc Binh - a candidate with a total admission score of 46.75/50, an average of 9.35 points per subject, is the valedictorian of the entrance exam for specialized 10th grade classes in Ho Chi Minh City this year.
The admission score for the 10th grade is the sum of the scores of the three exams: Math, Literature, and Foreign Language (coefficient 1) plus the specialized subject exam score (coefficient 2). Candidates for the 10th grade exam must complete all the exams, not violate the regulations, and the score for each exam must be greater than 2.
Candidates admitted to the 10th grade will submit their admission application from June 25 to 29. After this time, candidates who do not complete the procedures will have their names removed from the school's admission list.

Candidates who do not pass the specialized classes will still be considered for admission to regular grade 10. The standard score for this grade 10 system is expected to be announced on July 10.
The benchmark scores and list of admitted grade 10 students will usually be announced by the Department on July 10.
