Although there are still many controversies about the content or presentation of the film, it is clear that “Peach, Pho and Piano” has created a phenomenon in revolutionary historical films, as well as creating a positive effect on learning about history, arousing patriotism among young people.

“Tunnel: Sun in the Dark” has only been released for about a week (including early screenings), but has caught up with and surpassed the “fever” of “Peach, Pho and Piano” last year, with a wave of audiences cheering and spreading the word for the film, its revenue is currently at the top of the box office, and is still continuing to increase.

“Tunnels: The Sun in the Dark” is directed by Bui Thac Chuyen, invested by businessman Nguyen Thanh Nam and several other businessmen. The film is inspired by real events after 1967, about a 21-man guerrilla squad fighting in the Cu Chi area, with the mission of holding out, holding the area, and then having to take on the job of protecting and keeping secrets for the strategic intelligence group to collect and transmit information. Meritorious Artist Do Ky shared that he really respected the team that did the pre-production for the film. He once set foot in Cu Chi tunnels , which are only about 40km from Ho Chi Minh City, but there are underground tunnel systems that used to be the "stronghold" of the army and people of Cu Chi, where the US once mobilized a series of heavy weapons to attack but could do nothing.

Director, Meritorious Artist Nguyen Xuan Son also commented that when watching the film, he no longer saw the actors, but only saw the soldiers and civilians fighting in the tunnels. “That is a wonderful thing about director Bui Thac Chuyen,” he said.

Director Khai Anh, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Television Film Production Center commented: “It is unimaginable that director Bui Thac Chuyen and the film crew endured so much hardship and difficulty to create such realistic and touching footage.
