About 25 km from Dau Tieng town center, Kien An historical forest covers an area of ​​245 hectares. This is the place chosen as a revolutionary base during the anti-French period.

With favorable terrain as an old forest, located between the Saigon and Thi Tinh rivers, Kien An forest becomes a prime location, important, and has strategic military significance at the northwestern gateway of Saigon.

Along with the resistance bases in Ben Cat, this place has become a revolutionary base in the struggle for national liberation, the cradle of the North Ben Cat base area. Kien An forest revolutionary base was recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as a Provincial Revolutionary Relic on June 2, 2004.

This is a very valuable relic, rich in meaning in educating revolutionary traditions for the younger generations. Important items have been built to recreate the scenes of officers and soldiers working and fighting here.

Coming to Kien An forest, walking among the vast green forest, you will witness secret basements used as meeting places, see the Hoang Cam kitchen in the style of “walking without traces, cooking without smoke, speaking without sound” in this place. Then under the canopy of kơ-nia trees, boi loi trees, lim xet trees… you will be silent, remembering a heroic time in the war to defend the country when listening to the tour guide talk…

Returning to Kien An today, the traces of bomb craters and shrapnel from the past have faded. Kien An is now greener, full of new vitality. Kien An's tradition and green forests blend with the new rhythm of life of the people around the area, turning the page of development, reaching for prosperity.
