Because the first round of exams was full early, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education opened two more rounds of competency assessment exams in May.
On the morning of March 12, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Trung, Vice Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, said that the first round was held right at the school, and could serve a maximum of 3,400 candidates, but more than 4,000 students had registered, even though the deadline was March 15.
Realizing the great demand, the school decided to open two more exam sessions in May in Gia Lai and Da Nang, to facilitate candidates from the Central and Central Highlands regions. Registration starts from April 1st and may end early if there are enough candidates.

The school said the exam questions closely follow the general education program, with 12th grade knowledge accounting for about 70-80%, the rest being 10th and 11th grade knowledge. Candidates can register for one or more exams, depending on their needs and admission combinations.
This exam is open to all 11th and 12th graders and those who want to take the exam, not just 12th graders. Candidates can reserve their results for university admission within two years.
In 2023, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Education's competency assessment exam will have about 4,400 candidates participating, double that of 2022. The admission score of the combined high school transcript score and competency assessment exam score ranges from 15.63 to 28.11 points.
