On the afternoon of February 22, at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the Department of Administrative Police for Social Order (C06) in collaboration with Hanoi University of Science and Technology held the opening ceremony of the second degree and master's training course in information technology (IT) at Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
According to Colonel Vu Van Tan, Deputy Director of C06, Ministry of Public Security, C06 was assigned to advise on the implementation of two projects: the National Population Database project and the project of producing, issuing and managing citizen identification cards. To date, the two projects have had many outstanding achievements, including the establishment of the National Population Data Center under C06.
To continue to develop and maximize the use of national population data sources, the Government has approved Project 06 "Developing population data applications, electronic identification and authentication to serve national digital transformation in the period of 2022-2025, with a vision to 2030", one of the bright spots in digital transformation in Vietnam in the past 2 years. Recently, the Government also issued Resolution 175/NQ-CP approving the National Data Center Project, as proposed by the Ministry of Public Security; The Government assigned the Ministry of Public Security to develop an organizational model, functions, tasks and personnel arrangement for the department-level units under the Ministry of Public Security to manage and operate the National Data Center.
According to the leader of C06, one of the key points to ensure the success of the upcoming National Data Center Project is the preparation of human resources, especially human resources with qualifications in IT and digital transformation. Therefore, the opening of the second degree and master's training class in IT at Hanoi University of Science and Technology is a demonstration of the Ministry of Public Security in preparing human resources for the National Data Center.
The center's current IT human resources are still lacking and weak in specialized fields such as: security, infrastructure, artificial intelligence, data science... The coordination with Hanoi University of Science and Technology to organize and open 2 training courses this time received special attention and direction from the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security to meet the center's demand for high-level IT human resources.
