These days, at the Spring Flower Market held at the Square of the Media and Culture Center of Mong Cai City, ornamental plants for Tet such as peach, apricot, and kumquat are sold in abundance.

Tree owners said that peach and kumquat trees sold at this Spring flower market mainly come from inland gardens in Quang Ninh or from Nam Dinh and Hai Duong provinces...

The rather unique thing about this flower market is that it only has peach, kumquat, and apricot blossoms. There are very few households selling other fresh flowers such as orchids, roses, and chrysanthemums...

Mr. Pham Anh Hung, living in Hai Yen ward, Mong Cai city, has just offered for sale beautifully shaped yellow apricot trees. He introduced that his family's garden has many varieties of yellow apricot trees.

The most expensive tree costs over ten million dong, the cheapest tree costs over one million. According to Mr. Hung, this year's apricot and peach blossoms are big and blooming beautifully.

Mr. Pham Anh Hung is selling his family's yellow apricot tree for 5 million VND.

"This year the weather is favorable, the flowers and buds are very beautiful. So the price is very good. I just brought nearly 100 trees here for two days and have already sold a few dozen trees," said Mr. Hung.

While pruning peach blossom leaves with some friends, Mr. Le Kim Binh, the owner of a garden in Kinh Mon district, Hai Duong province, said that this was the first time he and his friends brought peach blossoms to sell in Mong Cai city. Because it was the first time, Mr. Binh only brought 100 peach branches...

"The transportation fee here is further than other areas of Quang Ninh, so the price of each peach blossom sold in Mong Cai City is also about 50-70 thousand VND higher per branch. Since yesterday, we have sold more than 20 branches, after deducting expenses, we have made a profit of 300-500 thousand VND per branch. With this purchasing power, we will definitely sell out before the 28th of Tet," Mr. Hung affirmed.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga's family quickly chose a satisfactory kumquat tree that was affordable.

While choosing kumquat trees with her husband at the corner of the Tet flower market, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga, who lives in Hai Yen ward, Mong Cai city, commented: This year, peach and kumquat trees are both very beautiful, and the prices are also affordable.

"In the years after the Covid-19 pandemic, my family's life and income were greatly affected, so spending during Tet was also limited. This year, work and income are better, so my husband and I bought some flowers and ornamental plants to celebrate Tet," said Ms. Nga.

While at the corner of the market, Giao thong Newspaper reporters coincidentally met Mr. Ho Mun Sang (born in 1985, residing in group 1, zone 5, Hai Yen ward, Mong Cai city, Quang Ninh) - the person who was assaulted by the bus assistant and driver on the Hanoi - Quang Ninh route, causing a broken finger and injuries to many areas on the face, head... with 9% injury.

Mr. Sang said that after Giao Thong Newspaper published a series of articles reflecting on this incident, the car owner compensated him with a total of 68 million VND for his health.

Currently, Mr. Sang works as a tour guide and his wife sells fruit. This year, there are many tourists coming to Mong Cai City, so the couple's income is also stable.

"I just brought a group of tourists back from China. Passing by the flower market, I saw many beautiful peach and kumquat trees, so I stopped by to buy some," said Mr. Sang.
