Tu My communal house in Tu My village, Dau Xa commune (now Son Chau commune, Huong Son district, Ha Tinh) was the place where many people's rallies and struggles took place in the 1930-1931 struggle movement.
Standing Committee of Huong Son District Party Committee talked with Son Chau commune officials right at the village communal house.
Tu My village in particular and Dau Xa commune in general were the places where the seeds of the Huong Son revolution were sown and sprouted. In June 1930, Tu My Party cell was established with comrade Tran Binh as Secretary. Red peasant organizations, red relief organizations, red self-defense organizations, etc. were quickly established.
News of the people's struggle movement in the whole province quickly spread to Tu My, encouraging the revolutionary movement to develop there. Tu My communal house became a contact and meeting point for the Party Committee of Huong Son district, opening classes to teach the national language and read revolutionary books and newspapers to the masses.
During the two resistance wars against France and the US, Tu My communal house was the place where Dau Xa’s children gathered to join the army to protect the Fatherland. With such historical value, in 1990, Tu My communal house was recognized by the Ministry of Culture as a national historical revolutionary relic.
Tu My communal house is located in the premises of Son Chau Commune People's Committee.
