The photo report and comments at the conference focused on affirming that: Over the past 5 years, the emulation movement to build "5 Good Military Medical Units" has developed into a mass and widespread movement throughout the army. Party committees and commanders at all levels are increasingly paying more attention to the work of caring for and protecting the health of soldiers and people. The targets of the movement were implemented seriously, many targets of the following year were higher than the previous year and maintained firmly, the rate of healthy soldiers in the whole army remained stable at over 98.5% for many years. The activities of the industry were disciplined, the technical expertise and medical ethics of officers, employees and soldiers of the military medical service were significantly improved, meeting the requirements of building a military medical service that was strong in organization, good in professional expertise, strong in political ideology and professional ethics; well fulfilling the assigned political tasks; contributing to the successful implementation of the emulation movement "The Army Logistics Industry follows Uncle Ho's teachings".

Speaking at the conference, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan affirmed: Military medicine is a part of the State health system, implementing the strategic goal of promoting the combined strength of the entire health sector to serve the health of the people and the armed forces in peacetime; being ready and responding effectively to war as well as other necessary situations. Over the years, the Military Medicine force has closely coordinated with the people's health sector to effectively implement the work of combining military and civilian medicine to take care of people's health and ensure national defense and security; making an important contribution to preventing, combating, and resolving the consequences of natural disasters, catastrophes, and epidemics; building the medical and defense potential of defense areas.

In particular, over the past 5 years, in addition to the task of ensuring military medicine for combat and combat readiness; the military medical force has closely coordinated with the People's Health sector in the cause of developing health care to serve the people. In natural disasters and floods, the military medical force always plays a core role, being at the forefront; the model of combining military and civilian medicine has been promoted and effectively promoted, especially in remote, isolated, border and island areas; the work of combining medicine with national defense to ensure health care for remote, isolated, border and island areas has been effectively implemented. In the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, the military force in general and the military medical force in particular have made enormous contributions to controlling the epidemic and protecting people's health.

From the above results, Minister of Health Dao Thi Hong Lan requested that in the coming time, the military medical sector continue to thoroughly grasp Resolution No. 20-NQ/TW, the 6th Conference of the 12th Party Central Committee on strengthening the work of protecting, caring for and improving people's health in the new situation; promptly implement the amended Law on Medical Examination and Treatment, resolutions, decrees directing and leading the Government and the Prime Minister for the health sector on the work of caring for and protecting people's health.

On this occasion, the Minister of Health also requested Party committees and unit commanders in the entire army to strengthen leadership, direction, coordination, create favorable conditions, and pay attention to investment in grassroots healthcare; proactively respond promptly to possible medical emergencies; and create the best conditions for the military medical sector to fulfill its mission of protecting and taking good care of the health of soldiers and people.

Speaking at the conference, General Phan Van Giang acknowledged and commended the achievements and results that the entire army has achieved in implementing the emulation movement to build "5 Good Military Medical Units" over the past 5 years. From those encouraging results, General Phan Van Giang requested that in the coming time, agencies, units of the entire army and the military medical sector continue to promote and develop the emulation movement in the direction of "extensive, sustainable, creative, effective", contributing to building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, and modern army.

First of all, it is necessary to thoroughly grasp the Party's viewpoint on the task of building and defending the Fatherland in the new situation; grasp the strategy for defending the Fatherland, Resolution No. 05 of the Politburo and Resolution No. 230 of the Central Military Commission on the organization of the Vietnam People's Army for the period 2021-2030 and the following years; Resolution No. 1658 of the Central Military Commission "On Army logistics work to 2030 and the following years", determine the immediate and long-term goals and tasks of military medicine; focus on studying new issues arising for the military medicine sector in the current situation to have plans to ensure timely military medicine in all situations.

Along with that, focus on directing the comprehensive implementation of all aspects of military medical work, focusing on ensuring military medicine for training tasks, combat readiness, natural disaster prevention and control, and epidemics; synchronously deploying programs to improve preventive medicine capacity, military-civilian medical cooperation programs; promoting scientific research, enhancing international cooperation; applying advanced scientific and technological achievements to the management and health care of soldiers and people; maintaining the proportion of healthy soldiers according to regulations.

General Phan Van Giang requested that the Party committees and commanders of units need to fully grasp the direction of the Minister of Health at the conference; proactively coordinate with medical forces at all levels to more effectively carry out the task of caring for and protecting the health of soldiers and people. Strengthen leadership, direction, promote the advisory role of logistics and military medical agencies at all levels in organizing implementation; maintain a vibrant and widespread movement throughout the army, attracting a large number of cadres, employees and soldiers to voluntarily participate and implement. The emulation movement steering committees at all levels need to regularly innovate the content, form and organizational measures; continue to supplement and perfect the emulation movement criteria to be close to the requirements of tasks and practical work of ensuring logistics and ensuring military medical care in the new situation.
