Focus on synchronous infrastructure investment

Reporting at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Huu Vu - Standing Deputy Secretary of Dai Loc District Party Committee said that in 2023, the locality admitted 120 party members and officially recognized 94 party members. The work of implementing the construction of "4 good" party cells and "4 good" grassroots party committees; guiding party organizations to manage party members working far away; mobilizing the construction of party organizations and socio-political organizations in non-state enterprises was focused on. Notably, Dai Loc completed the rotation of cadres, ensuring that the Party Secretary of the commune is not a local person.

Regarding economic development, in 2023, the total production value is estimated to reach 14,855 billion VND. The whole district has 85 newly registered enterprises with a total registered capital of more than 229.5 billion VND, 12 enterprises announced to stop operating and 83 enterprises requested to temporarily stop operating.

The production value of industry - handicraft - construction is estimated at 9,302 billion VND; agriculture - forestry - fishery is 1,602 billion VND; trade - services is 3,951 billion VND. The total budget revenue of the district is estimated at 1,138 billion VND, the total budget expenditure is estimated at more than 1,102 billion VND.

In addition to the favorable conditions, Dai Loc still faces many difficulties and obstacles in the development process, which need to be resolved by all levels and sectors soon. According to Mr. Nguyen Huu Vu, Dai Loc has made many efforts in attracting investment projects to industrial clusters in the area. Up to now, there are 63 registered projects with a total capital of 6,055 billion VND, the number of registered workers is 18,180 people. However, the industrial clusters do not have a synchronous plan to connect with each other. At the same time, due to difficulties in capital sources, there has not been investment in completing infrastructure to create a clean surface for the remaining area; there is no collection road system to connect with National Highway 14B; there has not been investment in wastewater treatment systems, fire prevention and fighting, etc.

Besides, although the province has paid attention to and supported the infrastructure in the district and the district has made efforts to invest in the past time, it is still not synchronized, and many construction items need to be upgraded to meet the criteria of a new rural district.

At the meeting, the District Party Committee and People's Committee of Dai Loc district reported to the Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet on the work of building new rural areas, eliminating temporary houses; the fields of mineral exploitation management, clean water supply, investment attraction; resolving land complaints; riverbank erosion; tourism development. Leaders of departments and branches participating in the meeting focused on answering the difficulties and problems of Dai Loc.

Mr. Nguyen Hao - Secretary of Dai Loc District Party Committee proposed that the province prioritize supporting investment funding to complete the traffic infrastructure in the district, focusing on supporting investment funding to build emergency embankments on Vu Gia River in Ai Nghia town; building a road connecting DT609 to National Highway 14B; building a road from DT609B connecting DT609 to Dai Loc district center; repairing Thuong Duc Victory Monument... At the same time, support the district to complete the procedures according to regulations, promptly submit to the Provincial People's Committee for approval of the District Planning until 2030.

Need new development momentum

Concluding the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet assessed Dai Loc as a locality with a revolutionary tradition and great potential for development, especially in terms of land and mineral resources. In the planning of Quang Nam province for the period 2021 - 2030, vision 250 identifies Dai Loc as being in the northern growth pole of the province, including 3 districts: Dien Ban - Dai Loc - Hoi An.

Comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet praised the leaders of Dai Loc district for doing a good job in leading and directing the promotion of socio-economic development, achieving many positive results. However, Dai Loc's budget revenue is not high yet, there are still many temporary houses; site clearance and infrastructure synchronization still have many problems; riverbank landslides affect people's lives; and land database construction is still slow.

Regarding Party building work, Comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet requested the Standing Committee of Dai Loc District Party Committee to pay attention to the ideological work of cadres and party members to arouse aspirations and motivation for development, avoiding the situation of fear. In addition, attention should be paid to cadre work and preparations for Party Congresses at all levels.
