The 1st Congress of Bum Nua Commune Party Committee

Attending the Congress were representatives of a number of provincial departments and branches along with 150 official delegates representing 525 party members in the entire Party Committee.

In the 2020 - 2025 term, despite many difficulties, the Party Committee of Bum Nua commune has focused on comprehensive leadership and direction, achieving many important results. Party building work has been focused on; 98 new party members have been admitted; inspection and supervision work has been strengthened and disciplinary violations have been strictly handled. The economy has developed quite well, forming a Lai Chau ginseng growing area with an area of nearly 47 hectares. The 1st Congress of Bum Nua Commune Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, set out specific targets: The area of Lai Chau ginseng cultivation expanded to over 70 hectares; the poverty rate decreased by an average of 5%/year; the rate of new party members admitted annually reached 3-4%/total number of party members in the entire commune Party Committee; over 90% of grassroots party organizations, party members; government, Fatherland Front and socio- political organizations of the commune fulfilled their tasks well or better... and proposed many solutions for implementation.

In their speeches at the Congress, delegates’ opinions focused on a number of contents: Solutions to improve inspection, supervision and enforcement of Party discipline; improve the quality of administrative procedure settlement serving organizations and individuals; digital transformation in Party agencies, etc.

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Tong Thanh Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that in the coming term, the Party Committee of Bum Nua commune needs to strengthen the building and rectification of the Party and a clean and strong political system. Promote the development of agriculture and forestry associated with the planting of medicinal plants under the forest canopy and the construction of new rural areas; effectively exploit hydropower projects and traditional industries suitable to local potential. Preserve and promote the cultural identity of ethnic groups associated with the development of community tourism ; strengthen the consolidation of national defense and security in border areas...

The Congress also announced the Decisions appointing the Executive Committee of 26 comrades, the Standing Committee of 9 comrades, the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the Party; the Decision appointing the Inspection Committee of 5 comrades, the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Party Committee of Bum Nua commune, term I, term 2025 - 2030. Comrade Nguyen Minh Hieu was appointed to hold the position of Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of the commune for the term 2025 - 2030; Comrade Ly Phu Ca was appointed to hold the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the commune; Comrade Tong Thanh Son was appointed to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune.

At the Congress, the Decision to appoint the Bum Nua Commune Party Delegation to attend the 15th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, consisting of 6 comrades, was announced. The delegates voted to approve the Report synthesizing opinions on the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress and voted to approve the Congress Resolution.
