Da Nang starts building 262 billion VND boarding school in mountainous commune

On August 19, the Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Civil, Industrial and Technical Infrastructure Works of Da Nang coordinated with the Department of Education and Training of the city and related units to organize the launching ceremony of the Tay Giang Primary and Secondary Boarding School project in Ahu Village (Tay Giang Commune, Da Nang City).

The project was approved by the Central Government and Da Nang City leaders with a total estimated cost of 262 billion VND. The project belongs to Group B, a level III civil work with an expected planning area of ​​4.1 hectares. The investor, project manager and supervision consultant is the Da Nang Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Civil, Industrial and Technical Infrastructure Works. The implementation period is from November 2025 and will be completed and handed over in August 2026 to serve the 2026-2027 school year.

The project is expected to include the following items: Classrooms and subject areas with a total of 1,000 students, equivalent to 30 classes and 14 subject rooms, of which 15 classrooms are arranged for the secondary school block and 15 classrooms for the primary school block. In addition, functional rooms are arranged for teaching and learning.

The administrative block is arranged with the Principal's office, 2 Vice Principal's offices, the Pedagogical Council room, offices...

The service block includes kitchen, dining room, dormitory for students, public housing for teachers, multi-purpose house, outdoor sports field, cultural house,...

Technical infrastructure includes: Garage; gate, fence; landscape trees; garden for students to experience production; power supply, water supply and drainage, fire prevention and fighting systems; and equipment arranged including: Construction equipment, office equipment, teaching and learning equipment, sports equipment, etc.

Mr. Tran Anh Tuan - Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee said that building schools in border communes nationwide is a work of profound political significance.

The leaders of the Da Nang People's Committee also requested the Department of Education and Training to continue to monitor and urge the progress of the project. At the same time, complete the project to build the remaining schools. In particular, pay attention to the local culture, so that when building schools, they are suitable to the conditions and customs.

“The school must meet all the conditions for students and teachers to reside here. Therefore, the school must have facilities such as: Study, accommodation, entertainment, activities... We request the Department of Education and Training to establish a separate steering group on this issue to complete the assigned work well. In addition, the construction units must comply with the approved instructions and designs, ensure safety, and meet the learning and living needs of students and teachers,” Mr. Tran Anh Tuan requested.
