Da Huoai 3 evacuated people at night due to rapid flood

Accordingly, on the evening and early morning of August 13, heavy rain occurred over a large area in Da Huoai 3 commune, causing the water level of rivers and streams to rise rapidly. Many areas were deeply flooded, especially in villages 7 and 8, the water reached provincial road 721, traffic was cut off, and there was a potential risk of flash floods and landslides.

The People's Committee of Da Huoai 3 commune has directed the Commune's Command Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue, all militia, police, youth union members and village shock troops to urgently deploy response plans and support people to evacuate.

During the night, forces went to each household in low-lying and dangerous areas to evacuate the elderly, children, property and pets. At the same time, they set up checkpoints at key points to control traffic and warn people of danger.

The People's Committee of the commune recommends that people absolutely do not move through areas with deep flooding and fast-flowing water. People should regularly monitor warning information through the public address system and official information channels; and be ready to coordinate with the authorities when requested.
