Department of Sports and Physical Training clarifies responsibility to the end

Regarding the incident in which the Vietnamese youth table tennis team’s athletes were not provided with adequate nutrition during training and activities, the Department of Sports and Physical Training has investigated and verified the incident to clarify the responsibilities of the parties involved.

On November 3, the Department of Sports and Physical Training established a disciplinary council to verify the responsibility of the groups and individuals involved in the incident, in order to issue disciplinary sanctions such as criticism, reprimand...

At the same time, the administrative units of the Department of Sports and Physical Training, including the Hanoi National Sports Training Center (the center ), must establish an independent disciplinary council to investigate the incident and propose disciplinary actions for the individuals and organizations involved.

In case the verification, investigation and disciplinary results of the center are not convincing, the disciplinary council of the Department of Sports and Physical Training has the right to object, reject and request a more appropriate disciplinary form for the violations that occurred in the past, leading to the unfortunate incident at the Vietnam youth table tennis team.

The industry's disciplinary council has 5 days (excluding holidays) to verify and propose disciplinary measures. It is expected that on November 9 or 10, the disciplinary council, chaired by the Director of the Department of Sports and Physical Training Dang Ha Viet, will hold a meeting to propose disciplinary measures to report to the leaders of the sports industry.

Previously, regarding the case of the Vietnamese youth table tennis team's athletes not being guaranteed nutritious meals, after 1 month of verification, based on the written explanations of the relevant parties, the sports industry decided to initially handle the matter.

The person in charge of the kitchen of the Vietnam youth table tennis team has been fired and transferred to another department. The specialized department with the function and task of managing the Vietnam youth table tennis team of the Department of Sports and Physical Training will temporarily no longer continue to perform the function of managing this team.

After the incident of the Vietnamese youth table tennis team's poor nutrition was published, the Department of Sports and Physical Training ordered not to call coach Bui Xuan Ha to the team, and at the same time, the coaching staff and players returned to live and practice at the center. Here, the Vietnamese youth table tennis team received a much better nutritional regimen.
