This afternoon, November 25, the General Department of Customs held a ceremony to announce the decision to transfer and appoint the Director of the Quang Tri Provincial Customs Department. Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board Phan Van Phung; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Board Ho Dai Nam; Director General of the General Department of Customs Nguyen Van Tho; and leaders of the Customs Departments of the North Central provinces attended the ceremony.

At the ceremony, the representative of the General Department of Customs announced Decision No. 2716/QD-TCHQ dated November 21, 2024 of the Director General of the General Department of Customs on the temporary transfer and appointment of Mr. Chu Quang Hai, Director of Nghe An Provincial Customs Department, to hold the position of Director of Quang Tri Provincial Customs Department from December 1, 2024.

Also according to Decision No. 2709/QD-TCHQ dated November 21, 2024 of the Director General of the General Department of Customs, Director of the Quang Tri Provincial Customs Department Tran Manh Cuong was transferred and appointed to hold the position of Director of the Hai Phong City Customs Department for a limited period from December 1, 2024.

At the ceremony, General Director of the General Department of Customs Nguyen Van Tho presented the decision and flowers to congratulate Mr. Chu Quang Hai.

Speaking at the assignment, General Director of the General Department of Customs Nguyen Van Tho asked Mr. Chu Quang Hai to promptly arrange the handover of work in Nghe An province to soon receive the assignment in Quang Tri province.

Continue to promote the tradition of Quang Tri Provincial Customs Department to successfully complete the tasks of 2024. Together with the department's leaders, review and assign tasks to units and departments appropriately, develop programs and plans to ensure the content and requirements set forth... contributing to the completion of the tasks for the period 2020 - 2025.

Focus on reforming, arranging, and building the Quang Tri customs apparatus in a streamlined manner, creating consensus within the department. Deploying digital customs, building internal management programs, applying information technology in the unit's operations... creating favorable conditions for business development, contributing to attracting investment in Quang Tri.

The leaders of the General Department of Customs also highly appreciated the achievements of Director of the Customs Department Tran Manh Cuong during his time as Director of the Quang Tri Provincial Customs Department, which contributed to the overall achievements of the customs sector.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong highly appreciated the achievements of Director of the Customs Department Tran Manh Cuong during his time as Director of the Quang Tri Provincial Customs Department, demonstrating his management and operational capacity, responsibility in work and being an officer who is knowledgeable about customs laws and regulations, has professional qualifications, and has accumulated a lot of experience in customs operations.

In the coming time, the acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that the Ministry of Finance, the General Department of Customs as well as the Quang Tri Provincial Customs Department will continue to pay attention, coordinate and support Quang Tri to overcome difficulties, so that the province can continue to synchronously complete infrastructure of border gates, economic zones, seaports, promote trade in border areas, strengthen investment promotion, as well as policies and procedures that are about to take effect related to the customs sector.

Quang Tri province will create all conditions for the Customs sector in general and Mr. Chu Quang Hai to successfully complete the tasks assigned by the General Department of Customs, and coordinate well with localities to complete the set targets.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Chu Quang Hai expressed his honor and gratitude to the leaders of the General Department of Customs, the Ministry of Finance, and the Quang Tri province for their trust and confidence in assigning him the task. At the same time, he expressed his determination, responsibility, and solidarity with the unit's leadership to successfully complete the assigned tasks.
