On the afternoon of January 31, the People's Committee of Ba Thuoc district held a ceremony to announce Resolution No. 479/NQ-HDND, dated December 14, 2023 of the 18th Provincial People's Council on naming roads, streets and public works in Canh Nang town.

Representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and leaders of Ba Thuoc district attended the conference.

Canh Nang town is the political, economic, cultural and social center of Ba Thuoc district, with many favorable conditions for development. The town was established under Decree No. 92/ND-CP, dated August 23, 1994 of the Government. By 2019, implementing Resolution 786/2019/UBTVQH14, dated October 16, 2019 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on merging Lam Xa commune and Tan Lap commune into Canh Nang town. In recent years, the town has had strong development steps, the infrastructure system has been increasingly invested in, the inner-city roads are increasingly spacious, especially the important main traffic routes connecting Canh Nang town with economic development areas in the province and district. Thereby, creating favorable conditions for people to trade and develop socio-economy, at the same time contributing to attracting investment, developing trade and tourism services, and promoting the rapid and strong economic development process of the town.

In Canh Nang town, there are many streets that are used stably, in accordance with the town's General Planning, approved by the Provincial People's Committee, eligible for naming but have not been scientifically named and not authorized by competent authorities, which leads to difficulties in administrative declaration, transactions, and searching for people's addresses.

Therefore, the Resolution on naming streets and roads in Canh Nang town issued by the 18th Provincial People's Council aims to meet the requirements of providing information and addresses, serving transactions and exchanges, creating conditions for the task of socio-economic development of the locality, contributing to the beautification of the urban appearance. At the same time, educating historical and cultural traditions, raising awareness of love for the homeland, people's pride in famous people, heroes, typical historical places and events; especially recognizing and honoring the contributions of famous people to the formation and development of Ba Thuoc district in general and Canh Nang town in particular.

Comrade Vuong Thi Hai Yen, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced the Decision and presented Resolution 479/NQHND to Comrade Ngo Dinh Hai, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Thuoc district.

At the ceremony, comrade Vuong Thi Hai Yen, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, announced and presented Resolution No. 479/NQ-HDND, dated December 14, 2023 of the 18th Provincial People's Council on naming streets in Canh Nang town to representatives of Ba Thuoc district leaders.

According to the Resolution, 15 roads, 13 streets and 2 public works in the town will be given new names. The proposed names for the roads and streets are the names of famous people who have contributed to the country, Thanh Hoa province in general, and Ba Thuoc district in particular, and are in the province's name bank.

Delegates performed the ceremony of attaching street name signs.

The placement and installation of street and road name signs must be scientific, consistent with the practical situation in the locality, comply with approved regulations and planning; ensure democracy and publicity. At the same time, continue to inspect, review, propose naming and renaming of streets in the district according to regulations, in order to meet the legitimate needs of the people. In particular, focus on promoting street beautification, implementing civilized lifestyle, ensuring urban aesthetics on named streets, public works.
