Báo Thanh niênBáo Thanh niên26/05/2023

Over the past 15 years of establishment, at each point in time, CMC Telecom has its own direction to make its mark in the fields in which the company operates. As an internet service provider, in 2017 CMC Telecom put into operation the CVCS (Cross Vietnam Cable System) backbone cable line.

According to Mr. Dang Tung Son, Director of Sales and Marketing of CMC Telecom, in terms of market entry time or scale, CMC Group in general and CMC Telecom in particular can hardly compete with other giants. However, the company is making its own mark with its differences and investment strategies aimed at each customer's needs.

In 2015, CMC Telecom made a huge investment for a young telecommunications service provider, with hundreds of billions of dollars for Cloud infrastructure. As early as 2017-2018, the company mentioned to the Ministry of Information and Communications its aspiration to turn Vietnam into a Digital Hub for the Asia-Pacific region and the world.

This change was recognized when in May 2022, CMC Data Center (DC) Tan Thuan (HCMC) was born and is the place with PCI DSS payment security certificate, TVRA certificate - the highest security and risk prevention certificate for DC. This is also the first DC in Vietnam to own the world's leading official Tier III certificate set of Uptime in both design and construction.

Regarding data storage infrastructure, CMC Telecom owns an ecosystem of 3 Data Centers: DC CMC Tower (Hanoi), DC SHTP (HCMC), DC Tan Thuan (HCMC). Notably, CMC Telecom currently holds 50% of the market share of banks' data centers. Proactively building a Make-in-Vietnam cloud computing platform like CMC Cloud also affirms CMC Telecom's determination to pull data to store in the Vietnamese "cloud".

Regarding connection infrastructure, CMC Telecom owns a CVCS backbone network system that directly connects to the Data Centers of major Cloud providers in the world with bandwidth up to 10 Gbps.
