The leading technology solutions of this year's competition bring innovation from infrastructure to practical technology products, applied in many fields: building management, virtual assistants for healthcare, wireless monitoring devices in manufacturing plants, industrial robots, smart electric vehicles, AI applications in children's toy production, customer data analysis at retail stores, "made in Vietnam" drones, new generation chat bots, and energy control in logistics.

It is known that from March to August, Qualcomm Technologies organized many practical activities, including visits to the manufacturing plants of My Lan Group and Rynan Technologies Vietnam to learn about typical innovative startup models.

In parallel, there is a series of seminars and in-depth training programs on Intellectual Property, including the patenting process, protection and monetization of inventions. Training sessions on business skills development are also implemented, with topics such as business models, financial planning, budgeting, and fundraising skills.

Qualcomm's R&D lab in Hanoi also supports startups in ML/AI (machine learning/artificial intelligence) related functions, camera testing, audio, RF signal testing, thermal and modem troubleshooting, and product development consulting throughout the incubation process.

Nguyen Thanh Thao, Senior Business Manager at Qualcomm, shared that this year’s Qualcomm Vietnam Innovation Challenge has supported and nurtured promising companies with breakthrough solutions in areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), smart cities, robotics and IoT. “We look forward to seeing the impact of these solutions in shaping Vietnam’s technology landscape and contributing to the country’s continued success,” she emphasized.

The organizers said that at the final event, startups will also have the opportunity to approach partners on a large scale at Southeast Asia's leading exhibition space - InnoEx, which will pave the way for Vietnam's outstanding technology solutions at QVIC 2024.
