On the morning of August 7, Comrade Dau Thanh Tung, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a conference to listen to and give opinions on the Plan to organize the Live TV Bridge Program to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Geneva Agreement and the Gathering Train (1954-2024).

Attending the conference were representatives of Ho Chi Minh City Television Station; leaders of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; relevant departments, branches, units and Sam Son City.

The live TV program to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Geneva Agreement and the Assemblage Train (1954-2024) is scheduled to be held at 6:00 p.m. on September 1, 2024 at three locations: The memorial site for Southern compatriots and soldiers who gathered in the North in 1954 in Sam Son City (Thanh Hoa); The National Historical Site of the Assemblage Site to the North in 1954 in Cao Lanh City (Dong Thap); The memorial site of the Unnumbered Train - Brigade 125, Region 2, Navy (Ho Chi Minh City).

The program is presented in the form of Politics - Exchange - Art. The content shows the correct and wise leadership of our Party, headed by President Ho Chi Minh, in the resistance war against the French colonialists and American intervention; affirms the victory of the consistent foreign policy of independence and self-reliance for the interests of the nation and people; the great achievements of Vietnamese diplomacy over the past 70 years, especially in nearly 40 years of implementing the national renewal policy initiated and led by the Party, building and developing a comprehensive and modern Vietnamese foreign policy, diplomacy, imbued with the identity of "Vietnamese bamboo".

Along with that, it demonstrates the stature, historical value, great and profound significance and lessons on the spirit of national solidarity of the 1954 gathering event, demonstrating the major policies and guidelines on management, treatment, use and training of a team of cadres and soldiers who both contributed to the cause of building socialism in the North and prepared forces for the struggle to liberate the South later.

At the same time, it is an opportunity to express gratitude and honor the great contributions of the Party Committee, army and people of Thanh Hoa province in the cause of innovation, industrialization and modernization of the country and the just struggle to protect the independence, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of the Fatherland. The achievements in socio-economic development, national defense and security of the country in general and the ethnic minorities of Thanh Hoa province in the past 70 years.

After listening to the draft plan and discussion opinions at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dau Thanh Tung emphasized: The organization of the Live TV Bridge Program to Celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Geneva Agreement and the Gathering Train (1954 - 2024) is a major event of the province, with the nature of extensive propaganda for cadres, party members and people nationwide to deeply understand the Party's correct and wise guidelines and leadership in the long-term resistance war, the struggle for national liberation, especially on the diplomatic front, contributing to opening a new situation for the Vietnamese revolution.

At the same time, it is an opportunity to express gratitude and honor the great contributions of the Party Committee, army and people of Thanh Hoa province in the cause of innovation, industrialization and modernization of the country and the just struggle to protect the independence, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of the Fatherland.

Regarding the organization plan, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee noted that Ho Chi Minh City Television Station coordinates with Thanh Hoa Radio and Television Station as well as related units to determine the specific time to organize the program as well as invite participants including Central leaders, the Liaison Committee for Compatriots, cadres, soldiers and students from the South to gather in the North at the connecting points. Thanh Hoa Radio and Television Station proactively coordinates with the connecting points to develop appropriate program content.

Relevant departments and units take the initiative in their tasks such as fire prevention and fighting, security and order, electricity, reception of delegates... to plan implementation. Thanh Hoa Radio and Television Station acts as the focal point for synthesis and reporting to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and approval.
