On February 15, Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, and a number of leaders of Da Nang City launched the Tet tree planting festival of the Year of the Dragon 2024 at the park north of Thuy Son mountain (the complex of scenic spots - special national monuments of Ngu Hanh Son, Da Nang City).
The park north of Thuy Son mountain is also the place to decorate the spring flower garden of Ngu Hanh Son district from 2023. In 2024, this park - spring flower garden will be expanded to 2 hectares with a cost of about 800 million VND from socialized sources.

The park area chosen to organize the Tree Planting Festival (corner of Pham Huu Nhat - Le Van Hien, Hoa Hai Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District) aims to encourage planting more landscape trees, creating green space for the area, contributing to beautifying the complex of scenic spots - special national monuments of Ngu Hanh Son.
Starting the official working day after the Lunar New Year 2023, Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City; Mr. Ngo Xuan Thang, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city; Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairman of the City People's Council; Mr. Tran Chi Cuong, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee; Ms. Cao Thi Huyen Tran, Secretary of the Ngu Hanh Son District Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Hoa, Chairman of the Ngu Hanh Son District People's Committee... attended the launching ceremony of the Tree Planting Festival in this area.

The leaders of the city and Ngu Hanh Son District planted sala trees (also known as unicorn jade...), trees that provide shade, have beautiful flowers and fragrance, are trees associated with and suitable for the Buddhist space and the orientation of developing religious tourism in Ngu Hanh Son.
Mr. Nguyen Hoa, Chairman of Ngu Hanh Son District People's Committee, said that since President Ho Chi Minh's call for the whole population to respond to the tree planting month 65 years ago, the tree planting festival has become a beautiful cultural tradition of the nation during each New Year and spring.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of Da Nang City People's Council, planted trees in the park and flower garden north of Thuy Son mountain.
In addition, the Government also launched the One Billion Tree Planting Program. In particular, in 2023, the Prime Minister issued a decision approving the Plan for the preservation, restoration and rehabilitation of the Ngu Hanh Son National Special Scenic Site.
The planning objective is to manage and protect Ngu Hanh Son landscape in harmony with the requirements of socio-economic development, tourism services, research, and conservation of tangible and intangible cultural heritage, creating conditions, mechanisms, and resources to attract and encourage investment in sustainable development in the area, promoting the value of the landscape to become a cultural space, festivals combined with unique entertainment spots of Da Nang City, creating a chain of tourism products on the "Central Heritage Road" tourism journey.
"Therefore, landscape restoration, especially the protection and development of green spaces and corridors, is extremely important to the special national monument and scenic spot of Ngu Hanh Son," said Mr. Nguyen Hoa.
